Historic building

The Fonda House at 55 Western Avenue is an early surviving building associated with the Fonda name in the Capital District. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Why it matters

Unlike a modern street name with an unknown origin, this is a visible historic property with a documented Fonda association.
